Gibson & Barnes designed Atascadero for riding warmth and comfort. It is rugged and tough, keeps out the wind, lets you move freely, and has zip-shut pockets to store your gear.

Atascadero moves with your every move. Its pleated underarm gussets and true action back in both the leather and lining give you virtually unlimited horizontal and vertical reach. Stretch out your arms, the sleeves will still reach your hands. Zip them shut to keep out the wind or unzip them for ventilation.

Zip the heavy-duty front zipper all the way to the top or leave it partly unzipped and snap down the lapels. There’s a storm flap under the zipper to keep out the wind and a leather zipper facing to protect the lining. Two zip-shut front pockets and a leather-bound inside wallet pocket are standard equipment.

Atascadero is a little longer in the back to keep you warm while you ride. The double-thick kidney pad and front waist band give you firm, comfortable support and the leather-lined waistband prevents wear.

Our supple, durable, top-grain cowhide and goatskin have been chrome-tanned, drum-dyed, and lightly pigmented. Skilled cutters select and match each hide and carefully cut your jacket. Expert craftsmen precisely sew and tack every seam so your jacket will give you many years of enjoyment.

The lining is comfortable twill polyester that slips on smoothly and will last for years.

Atascadero’s front belt is securely double-stitched at the sides and has brass-reinforced eyelets, four belt loops, and a rugged roller buckle.
