The Navy’s G-1 Jacket is one of the most comfortable flight jackets ever made because its action back is sewn into the lining as well as the shell.  The action back gives you a complete range of motion, both reaching horizontally as well as over your head.  When Gibson & Barnes designed its GB-1/U uniform jacket, we followed the Navy’s original G-1 patterns.  We kept the Navy’s belted action back, brass zipper, inside storm flap and uniquely curved pocket flaps.  Then we added a cloth collar and welted hand-warmer pockets.  Of course, you can make your jacket unique by adding any of our jackets options.

GB-1/U Uniform Jackets made from Resolute® polyester/cotton twill fabric have a lightweight polyester twill lining or warm Thinsulate™ Insulation. Jackets made from NOMEX® fiber have a lightweight 5-ounces fabric or warm 13-ounces fleece lining, zippers, thread, and knit, all made from NOMEX®.
