The MBU-12/P Oxygen Mask is currently being used by the U.S. Military. The shape of the mask provides excellent downward vision.  The low profile design brings the mask close to the face and provides excellent stability during high G maneuvers. Anti-roll webs at the nose seal prevent downward roll off. The inherent rigidity of the integrally bonded soft rubber faceseat to a polysulfone plastic hardshell allows adjustment to provide superior sealing during pressure breathing.

 

 

Please note: The MBU-12/P is used with pressure demand oxygen systems not constant flow oxygen systems found in general aviation cabin aircraft.

 

The advanced design of the combination-breathing valve provides greatly reduced exhalation resistance during pressure breathing, and a rolling diaphragm reduces the potential for valve sticking caused by residue accumulation. This unique combination valve meets or exceeds all performance requirements of MIL-V-27296.

 

The MBU-12/P oxygen mask meets or exceeds the requirements of the U.S. Military Specification MIL-M-87163.

 

Choosing a mask:

 

SIZES: Four mask sizes are available to assure proper fit and comfort.

 

PA-101 Amplifier with 14 Inch Microphone Cord:  Select this configuration if your helmet has a cord that plugs into your aircraft. To use the mask microphone unplug your boom microphone from your helmet cord and plug in the oxygen mask microphone cord.

 

 

3-PIN or Quick Disconnect:  Two oxygen mask connectors are available; Three-pin twist lock or Quick Disconnect. Choose Three-pin twist lock if you are going to use a CRU-60 adapter with an emergency oxygen bottle. Choose a Quick Disconnect fitting if you are connecting directly with the aircraft.
