Since its creation in 1958, NASA has achieved tremendous leaps in air and space technology.  Many of its innovations have been adapted to non-aerospace uses in our every day lives, to the betterment of mankind.

More importantly it has afforded us the opportunity to land on the moon, and to look millions of light years into deep space; these out-of-reach dreams at one time, have become reality in our lifetime.

The pictures returned to earth from our space craft have shown us a tiny blue marble, just hanging there in space, a place we call home.
