Have the need to get out of your aircraft in a hurry in an emergency? This cord system is a helmet cord that is only 3” long . This short cord plugs into an adapter or extender cord which plugs into the aircraft. If you forget to unplug from the aircraft, the cord will disconnect up at your helmet.
Choosing your helmet cord:
F is for HGU-33, HGU-55, and HGU-68
H is for SPH-5, SPH4, SPH4-b, HGU-84 and HGU-56
Avoid having your helmet cord run across your chest or behind your neck: “Same side” means that your microphone and cord are on the same side of the helmet. “Opposite side” means that the microphone and cord are on opposite sides of the helmet.
The adapter cords start with a single female U-92 Jack and then can either end in a two P5568 plugs or a single TP-120 plug.
