Gibson & Barnes makes the Hudson coat from large, chrome-tanned, drum-dyed, semi-aniline cowhide. The hides have a smooth, dressy look and are rugged enough to stand up to years of hard wear. The lining is heavy-weight polyester twill that slips on smoothly, is comfortable even in humid weather, and will give years of service.

You can move freely in the Hudson because it has an action back sewn into both the leather shell and the lining. Ventilated gussets under the sleeves let you move your arms freely, both horizontally and vertically. When you unsnap the jacket’s side plackets, you can sit down without the coat bunching up. Hudson even has snap-shut keepers to keep your belt securely in place.
